Our law firm’s team provided complex support to the Belgian company Van Genechten Packaging International NV in the transaction for the acquisition of 100% of shares in DOT2DOT S.A. from the Abris Capital fund. Our advice included conducting the due diligence process and advising at every stage of the transaction.
Van Genechten Packaging Group is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of carton packaging solutions. Present in nine countries, with its headquarters in Turnhout, Belgium, and 12 folding box plants, an extrusion plant and a rigid box design and production centre, VGP generates annual revenues of approximately €450 million.
The DOT2DOT S.A. group was formed by the merger of three leading Polish packaging companies in 2017 and was most recently owned by a subsidiary of a fund managed by Abris Capital Partners. It had two production facilities in Gdansk and Warsaw.
The acquisition of DOT2DOT S.A. by Van Genechten Packaging International NV is a strategic step that aims to strengthen VGPI’s market position and increase competitiveness in the packaging sector in Poland and the entire European region.
